Great skin has been considered as one of the greatest ways in looking good. No matter how good a person dresses up, I usually find a serious case of bad skin as a deal-breaker. It, in one way or another, shows how much you take care of yourself or you otherwise have very sensitive skin. Anyway on to BB Creams, It is very popular to Asians and has been getting recognition in the West.

So, what are BB Creams?

The BB in BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm. According to Wikipedia, it was “Originally formulated in Germany by Dr. Christine Schrammek. It was initially used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes.” The BB Cream has been labeled as the secret of Korean actresses.

BB Creams have a lot of properties including anti-acne, anti-wrinkle, oil control, moisturizing, sunblock and others. With BB Creams sprouting like mushroom in the market, some of the more prominent and well-received products are:

One of my favorites when it comes to fashion sense is the drop-dead gorgeous Marion Cotillard. You’ve probably been blown away by her performance in “La Vie en Rose” as Edith Piaf, or Mal in “Inception”. Recently this lady made waves with her films such as “Contagion” and my recent favorite, “Midnight in Paris”. Besides making high-caliber films, Marion Cotillard also knows style. A lot of it.

Whether it’s gracing the red carpet or simply walking on the streets, this charming Parisian always brings out her A-game. When she won an Oscar for “La Vie en Rose”, she was wearing a Jean Paul- Gaultier gown. She looked STUNNING. Besides winning an Oscar, she was also one of the best-dressed celebrities that night, making a name for herself when it comes to style.

After that exquisite red carpet performance, Marion seemed to be on fire. She had been spotted wearing gowns by Dior, Galliano, Elie Saab, and L’Wren Scott on different occasions. The result—always a hit.

 

What does Marion Cotillard wear when she’s out on the streets? Well, one thing I love most about her is her versatility. She’s got spunk(she won’t get that Inception role for nothing) yet still feminine, and she can also be playful when it comes to her choices. I love how she loves hats. I love how she wears her Ray Bans. Simply put—I love everything about this girl! She can’t do wrong, it seems.

Marion Cotillard sure has proven she has the goods to belong in Hollywood’s A-list. I cannot wait what she has in store for us next—word is she’s playing Miranda Tate on “The Dark Knight Rises” to be shown on 2012. I am totally excited! J ‘adore, Marion Cotillard, j’adore!

What? A shawl? But aren’t those things, so OLD? Like shawls are for the grandma types of women who prefer to knit and bake during their free time? Before another word comes out of your mouth, let me clear one thing out. This is Miu Miu. And when Miu Miu designs it, there’s got to be a wow factor behind it. That’s a given.

What did Miu Miu do to your ordinary, boring shawl? Well, for one, he turned it into something fabulous. I don’t know how he did it, but based on what I’ve seen on the runway, those shawls are going to sell pretty fast by the time it hit the shelves. Miu Miu, being brilliant as he is, added some of his personal touches to a shawl’s design—making it wearable and fashionable. He injected youth into it, chose the perfect fabrics to go along with the design, and made use of his creativity in order to create something special.

Who says shawls are dull. Just, just take a look at what Miu Miu did to it! I’m totally digging both of these looks, especially the second one.

I love how this shawl is almost cape-like, making it a perfect garment to wear outdoors. I want to wear one of those with a pair of skinnies, layered over a crewneck tee, and boots. It adds instant swag to your ordinary outfit, just like magic.

Aren’t these shawls lovely? Laced, with a black velvet ribbon—it’s just dainty. Wearing these amazing garments over a sundress will just make you adorable.

In this special edition of my blog, I’d let you have a quick peep inside my makeup kit. You’d probably be amazed at how some of these products are released a couple of years ago—the thing is, I never change products. There’s something about MAC makeup that makes me loyal to it, no matter how many different products and brands are popping out in the market right now. So, let me show you some of my favorite MAC products currently inside my purse:

 Wonder Woman Eye Shadow X4 : Lady Justice. The things with this eyeshadow is—it’s so fun! It’s like I get to know how it feels to be Wonder Woman for a while. I love blue, it goes well with my skin tone. The 4 shades of this eye shadow are all great.

MAC Zoom Lash.  I got my Zoom Lash in a High Esteem shade after I got promoted at work. There’s something about mascaras that make me feel empowered, and thank God I made the right choice when I bought this.

MAC Technokohl. This affordable eyeliner comes in a mechanical-pencil style—making it easy to apply. I have mine in Graphblack, and it never fails.

MAC Sheen Supreme.  Holy smokes. These MAC lipsticks are designed to attract attention. Trust me. I got my lipstick in that “Good to be Bad” shade, and it always delivers. Long-lasting, rich colors, and overall awesome.
MAC Mineralise Satin Finish Foundation.  This foundation is really a staple in every woman’s makeup kit. I love the glow it puts to my face.
I love, love MAC. I’ve never had any bad experiences with it, and I’m certain I won’t be having some, at this rate. It’s a brand I’m sticking with forever. True enough—once you go MAC, you never, really go back.

Thousands of eyes were trained on this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show held at the Lexington Avenue Armory, as the beautiful ladies of Victoria’s Secret graced the runway with Victoria’s Secret latest designs. It was a night of exquisite lingerie, wings, music, and beauty, as popular Victoria’s Secret models such as Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio left audiences in awe while they strutted their stuff in stylish Victoria’s Secret lingerie.

Music filled the night as well, as Adam Levine, Kanye West, Jay Z, and Nicki Minaj performed onstage alongside the models. I must say that the sight of Adam Levine serenading these ladies made things a little more interesting. Nicki Minaj got into the swing with some of the models, while Kanye and Jay Z brought the house down as expected.

The models were in full bloom with their amazing hair and makeup. They came out to the runway, one after the other, in colorful outfits—complete with wings and tiaras. It was a magical moment for the models, and of course, the audience.

2011’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show truly was a night of pure entertainment, fashion, and sexy lingerie. Heck—after looking at these photos I immediately ran to a Victoria’s Secret store to get some lingerie for myself! It works all the time!

It’s no wonder why a Victoria’s Secret fashion show is always a highly-anticipated event. Can’t wait for what Victoria’s Secret has in store on the next installment. Til next year!
